Forte dei Marmi, a seaside resort known across Italy and abroad, is visited by millions of visitors and tourists every year. The town, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, joins a jetty built in the sixteenth century for the cargo of the Apuan marbles and protected, from 1788, by a fortress wanted by Leopold I, which is still visible in the centre of Piazza Garibaldi.
Noblemen from across Europe: diplomats, businessmen, industry captains, artists and celebrities have chosen Forte dei Marmi as a holiday destination for centuries and have restored and built beautifully hidden villas in the area, protected by the lush green of the famous local pine forest.
